What Happens When You Take the Pledge?
First of all, thank you for your commitment to building more action-oriented and story-forward sustainability into your work in the business. When your company signs the Greener Reality Pledge, this is what you should expect:
review the pledge
Explore each pillar of the pledge with key members of your team to identify opportunities for your company to adapt and align its practices with the pledge. Download resources from Reality of Change and our partners for guidance. We include recommendations on how and when to use certain resources, which you can incorporate into your processes.
Include everyone
Share the news with your company. To set the stage with your company, inquire with Reality of Change about our flagship presentation with the global environmental non-profit Rare, Unscripting the Climate Narrative. This presentation can clarify with your whole team relevant details about the state of climate change, how the industry is responding, what audiences think, and how the unscripted sector can play an important role.
Display the badge
Once you receive your Greener Reality Pledge badge and usage guidelines, you may display it on your website and in materials, linking back where possible to this website so that others in our sector can learn about the pledge and come on board.
Stay Connected
You may be invited to join future online and in-person convenings. Because this is an industry-led initiative, we rely on your continuous feedback so that we can evolve our programs and resources, making sure they remain effective and easy to use.
Signing the Greener Reality Pledge is a meaningful first step in your company’s sustainability journey. Reality of Change and Rare are here to guide and support you along that journey, but please note that the badge represents your commitment and plans to act sustainably, and does not imply verification or certification of sustainability. While we do not currently conduct audits of use, the badge is provided with permission, and that permission may be withdrawn for any reason, including misuse and violations of the pillars of the pledge.
